Copyright policy
Last updated 2026-05-15
We respect copyright. If your work is being shared through filesnare.com without permission, tell us and we'll act.
How to file a complaint
Send us a notice with all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you're claiming.
- The full filesnare.com URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content — typically a request or send link.
- Your contact information: name, email, and optionally a phone number.
- A good-faith statement that the use isn't authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you're the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Where to send it
Email help@filesnare.com with the subject line "Copyright complaint". We may need to verify your identity or ask follow-up questions before acting.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or you have the right to share it, reply to the takedown email with a counter-notice explaining why. We'll review and respond.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive repeated, valid infringement complaints will be suspended or terminated.
Note
This is filesnare.com's takedown process. It's modelled on DMCA and UK CDPA principles, but this page isn't legal advice and doesn't waive any legal rights you or we have.
